Clinical Lead Physiotherapist
Matt qualified from the University Hospital of Wales, in Cardiff in 1999, and started work at Wycombe General Hospital where he gained experience working in the Respiratory, Orthopaedics, Neurology, and Musculoskeletal fields.
Since 2001 Matt has specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy becoming our Clinical Lead Therapist in 2015.
Being a keen runner (with a few injuries himself) Matt has attended numerous running analysis and movement control courses to help improve his performance and prevent his injuries. Matt has used this experience to set up our running analysis clinic where he performs assessments – looking at your flexibility, strength and control alongside recording your running technique. From the information he obtains he is able to provide exercises and advice on how to improve your performance and help prevent any injuries.
Matt has further experience working within other sporting fields and spent 3 years as the Physiotherapist for Marlow RFC, and was the first team Physiotherapist for the Buckinghamshire representative rugby side.
Matt is also our ergonomic specialist treating any work related problems. This involves assessing patients in their working environment and providing exercises and advice to prevent any work related issues.
Outside of work Matt loves to travel and adores afternoon tea and picnics. He is a very proud father of 2 girls and enjoys spending every minute running around after them.

Clinical Lead Physio & Pilates Instructor
Jill qualified from the Middlesex Hospital School of Physiotherapy in 1990. She started her working life at Milton Keynes General Hospital, where she rotated through all the clinical specialties for two years and then took a senior post in Outpatients and Orthopaedics.
In 1993 Jill moved into private practice and has spent her time working in multi disciplinary clinics with, to name but a few, orthopaedic specialists, osteopaths, chiropractors and podiatrists. Throughout her career, Jill has continued to attend numerous courses to update and expand her knowledge.
In April 2011 she and her partner embarked on a six month cycling expedition round the coast of Great Britain. Since then Jill has completed 2 Half ironman triathlons and one Full Ironman and completed the 3 Peaks Challenge.
Jill enjoys treating all musculo-skeletal problems from neck and back pain and dysfunction to sports injuries and everything in between. She has a particular interest in Myofascial Release (connective tissue release), and takes a number of exciting Pilates classes.
Outside of work Jill enjoys yoga, running, cycling, swimming, cooking, camping, stand-up paddleboarding and music.

Clinical Lead
In 2015, Tom graduated from Bournemouth University with a degree in Clinical Exercise Science followed by a Masters in Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University. Throughout this time, Tom gained experience in Neurological Physiotherapy at a dedicated Police Rehabilitation Centre and gained specific qualifications in sports massage and Kinesiology Taping. Tom has a specific interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and likes to treat a wide variety of conditions from acute to chronic.
Tom joined the Hatt team in 2018 and since has taken a particular interest in treating injured runners, patients with shoulder and hip injuries, and adolescent and paediatric injuries. Throughout his time at Hatt’s, Tom has completed further training in the diagnosis and management of rheumatological conditions and dry needling and takes an active role in running training for the rest of the team.
Outside of work Tom enjoys running, playing football, golf and cycling. He loves watching sports, cooking, and attends music festivals regularly.

Senior Sports Therapist
Zoe graduated as a Sports Therapist from the University of Gloucestershire and soon after started her career working in professional football. She then joined Hatt’s in the summer of 2022. During her time in professional sports, she was able to develop her clinical skills and sports trauma management while travelling around the country. Zoe is particularly passionate about sports-specific injuries and recovery and looks forward to bringing her experience, skills, and enthusiasm to the team.
Zoe has always participated in sports herself including horse riding, netball, windsurfing, and paddle sports, and has recently taken to surfing & football. In her spare time when she isn’t exercising, she enjoys being by the sea and listening to live music.
Senior Sports Therapist
Daniel graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan Uni with a bachelor’s degree in Strength and Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage and a Masters degree in Sport Rehabilitation in 2021. After studying, Daniel began working within professional rugby teams, travelling around the country as the head of medical and pitch-side responder. Throughout this time, Daniel developed strong clinical skills and techniques whilst experiencing a large range of injuries in a sporting environment.
Since working with Hatt’s in the autumn of 2023, Daniel has shown a particular interest in restoring tendon function and treating muscular and ligament injuries. Sports injuries and developing a strong return to sports programmes to allow athletes to perform at their best post-injury are also Daniel’s main working passion. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing football, tennis and running. He can be found around town shopping for old Vinyl records, drinking a flat white or researching the next place to travel.
Physiotherapist
In 2021, Ebot graduated as a physiotherapist from the university of the Witwatersrand in
Johannesburg South Africa.
After graduating, Ebot completed his year of community service
(a compulsory year spent working for the public health sector in South Africa) at a district
hospital in Limpopo South Africa, treating various paediatric, cardiopulmonary, neurological
and musculoskeletal conditions.
In June 2023, He moved back to Johannesburg where he worked at a private neuro-rehabilitation practice and a musculoskeletal/ Sports practice. During that time he completed additional courses in dry needling and taping.
Ebot Joined the Hatt team in 2024, he is particularly interested in the treatment of
musculoskeletal and sports – related injuries. A huge driver of his passion for MSK and
sports stems from his own love of sports and living an active lifestyle. This has helped him
appreciate the importance that ease or freedom of movement has on one’s quality of life.

Clinical Lead Manual Therapist
Rob gained his diploma in Sports Therapy in 2007 and has since achieved further diplomas in Advanced Sports Massage and Hot Stones Massage. He has worked at the clinic since June 2009, enjoys being part of a multi-disciplinary team, and has progressed to the head of the Manual Therapy department.
He has a very keen interest in Myofascial release and has attended numerous courses to develop his skills and knowledge on this subject. Rob is heavily involved in driving the Manual Therapy team forward and also trains up any new manual therapy recruits.
Rob is married and has two young sons and a daughter who keep him very busy. He has always had a keen interest in sport, previously playing both football and cricket at a competitive level. He currently enjoys cycling and swimming which help him keep fit.
Clinical Lead Therapist
Jon joined the Hatt Clinic in 2017 and became part of our Manual Therapy team. Over the years, he has developed his skills, knowledge, and experience in Manual Therapy and has become a Strength Coach, creating personalised exercise plans for our patients to help them achieve their physical goals.
Leading an active lifestyle himself, Jon understands how frustrating injuries can be so he works incredibly hard to get our patients back on their feet as quickly as possible. He then supports and encourages them to continue to live an active and healthy lifestyle going forward.
Jon is a keen sportsman and is always looking for the next challenges, more recently developing new skills in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and climbing.

Danny graduated from UWE with a degree in Sports Conditioning. His rugby career took him to London where he discovered Pilates and which led to many years of working at various clinics, studios and sports teams, alongside physiotherapists and medical practitioners to help rehabilitate injuries and optimise movement.
Danny joined our team in April 2017 as a Senior Pilates & Rehab Instructor and we look forward to Danny bringing his knowledge and experience to further the Pilates & Rehab service.
Danny’s main passions have always been food and sport. Now retired from rugby and having left London, he is pursuing golf and is always on the lookout for local restaurant recommendations.

Emma graduated from the University of the West of England in 2021, with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation. Her passion for healthcare developed by volunteering at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon within the Physiotherapy department during college. Whilst at university, Emma gained experience completing work as a pitchside first aid responder for local rugby clubs and at Neurokinex where she worked with individuals with complex neurological deficits. Emma also has a keen interest in various winter sports including skiing, snowboarding, and competing in national leagues in Ice Hockey.
In her spare time, Emma loves to bake cakes, travel, and skate on the ice rink as much as she can!
Senior Rehab & Manual Therapist
Craig graduated in 2015 from the University of Gloucestershire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy. During his studies, Craig gained experience with Bristol Rugby, Neurokinex and spent two seasons with Hallen F.C.
Once Craig became qualified he worked in his home city Bristol where he worked for Back2Action. Here Craig was lucky enough to work with professional athletes and learn valuable rehabilitation skills. Craig has experience rehabilitating various injuries such as ACL reconstructions, spinal cord trauma, SLAP lesion repair, stroke recovery, hip osteoarthritis and more.
The love for injury rehabilitation came from an unfortunate accident that changed his life. Being a patient once he is able to understand the hard times and good times rehab can bring.In his spare time, Craig likes to keep himself fit and healthy by going to the gym and cycling. He is a keen football fan, supporting Bristol Rovers and Chelsea but also enjoys watching many other sports. He also loves music, from soulful sounds to heavy guitar – he listens to it all!

Josh graduated from Southampton Solent University in 2021 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports & Exercise Therapy. During his time at university, Josh gained experience working in Physiotherapy clinics, gyms and working pitchside for sports clubs. He is very passionate about healthcare and has a keen interest in understanding the most effective ways for athletes to overcome injuries.
After university, Josh worked in a gym environment offering manual therapy treatments along with exercise & rehabilitation for his patients.
Outside of work, Josh likes to keep fit and active by going to the gym, playing football, and skiing in the winter. He loves to watch football and enjoys spending time with friends.
Rehab & Manual Therapist
Tom graduated from Edge Hill University with a degree in Sports Therapy in 2023 and is due to finish studying for his Master’s in Sports Therapy in September 2024.
Throughout university, Tom gained valuable experience in professional football, both at the academy and men’s first-team levels. He also worked pitchside in non-league football and has experience in private practice.
Tom is very interested in football and music. He collects retro football shirts and vinyl. He also enjoys going to the gym, travelling, and going for long walks.

Maisie completed her sports therapy degree at Hartpury University in
2024. Her commitment to sports, developed during her years as a gymnast,
highlighted the significance of maintaining a strong and capable body.
Prior to this, Maisie worked as a rugby medic for 2 years while pursuing
her studies, gaining valuable industry experience. She has also
undertaken numerous clinical care placements.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Maisie enjoys spending time at the gym, running,
and baking.

Podiatry Team
Senior Podiatrist
Jose graduated in Podiatry from Valencia University in Spain in 2013. After University he started working on private practice in Valencia but never stopped studying and developing new skills, especially in the field of biomechanics, which Jose is very passionate about. He just completed his MsC in Paediatrics and is already thinking about what he can learn next.
Jose has always been closely related to sports. He played basketball in Spain for 20 years, but recently found his passion for running. His love for sports and a healthy lifestyle lead him to focus his career on helping people overcome injuries that may keep them from enjoying this lifestyle.
Outside of work, Jose enjoys practicing any kind of outdoor sport, watching sports, and even talking about sport. He is a keen runner and loves exploring new places so he is looking forward to any recommendations.
Senior Foot Health Practitioner
Melanie has had an exciting and varied career working in customer service, marketing and then 6 years in a primary school where she gained her degree in Education Studies as well as the ability to multi-task and work swiftly under pressure.
Melanie joined the Patient Services team at Hatt’s in 2017 bringing her friendly and enthusiastic attitude, along with her excellent customer service skills.
In 2019 a different pathway became clear and she undertook a distance learning Diploma in Foot health practice and has now joined our Podiatry team.
Mel spends her spare time looking after her extended family, running, doing Pilates and when not actually visiting, she is dreaming of new places to visit with her partner.

Clinical Lead Therapist
Marilyn joined the Hatt Clinic team in 2017 after previously working in a number of Pilates and fitness studios in Central London and Hertfordshire. She has taught a number of studio-based disciplines since 2015 including Spin, Boxercise, and Vinyasa Flow Yoga as well as managing studios and gym floors.
Marilyn brings her knowledge of the human body and experience, from nearly two decades of training, to tailor every Pilates class to each attendee’s needs, offering a truly bespoke experience. She has a warm and personable style and encourages confidence and individual progression whether you are new to the clinic or making the transition from Rehab into long-term exercise.
Ever the student, Marilyn is passionate about continually developing her knowledge and experience of exercise and training in order to keep classes progressive, considered, and challenging.
Outside of work, Marilyn loves to ski and has spent two winter seasons in Sainte Foy in the French Alps. She weight trains and practices Yoga as well as Pilates for her own fitness and well-being.

Patient Services Team Leader
Jo joined the team in September 2016 after a career break to take on the full-time role of bringing up three daughters. In her previous career she was a software developer and a project manager from which she brings with her both customer focused and organisational skills.
When not at work Jo enjoys spending time with her family. A lot of this time is is spent taking her children to various netball and hockey matches and ballet lessons. Jo has also just taken up running again after a break and attends regular exercise classes.
Patient Services Shift Leader
Frances took an interest in Business and Administration when studying at Trowbridge college, gaining a level 3 diploma over the 2 year course. At college, she started working at the fashion brand M&Co and shortly after graduating took on a full-time role and soon became the store’s Assistant Manager. In her management role, Fran strived to inspire, motivate and help both her tean and the customers and took a keen interest in creating visual displays for the store.
In 2019, Frances decided it was time for a change and a new challenge so joined the Patient Services team at Hatt’s. This was an exciting opportunity for her to use her people and management skills to continue to inspire people and support a wonderful team of like-minded people. Since joining the team, she has never looked back and was promoted to Senior Patient Services Coordinator in 2022.
Outside of work, Frances has a key interest in alternative/ gothic street fashion. She loves exploring historical landmarks and traveling with friends as well as her new interest in weight training. A typical weekend includes online gaming with friends and watching horror movies.

Lily graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth with a BA(Hons) in Fashion Branding and Communication. Alongside her love for fashion and styling, Lily is passionate about helping people, so when the Patient Services role at Hatt’s became available, she knew this would be the ideal next step.
Lily loves traveling and is excited to explore more of the world. She also likes to keep fit and healthy, making Hatt’s the ideal environment for her. Lily is excited to develop and grow her career at Hatt’s and we’re thrilled to have her onboard.
Patient Services Co-ordinator
Originally from a town called Worksop in Nottinghamshire, Lucy and her partner decided to move to Wiltshire to start a new chapter together.
From a young age, Lucy has been interested in sports and fitness. She has a BSc in Sport Psychology and has since worked in supervisory roles in visitor attractions and as an activity instructor at an outdoor activity center (mainly teaching high ropes and zip wire). She really enjoys interacting with the public so working at Hatt’s allows Lucy to combine both her passion for health and her experience in customer service.
Outside of work, Lucy enjoys being outdoors, going for long walks, and recently reignited an interest in running.

Sadie’s interests have always been in the Performing Arts Industry. She trained at Bath Theatre Academy and left in 2021 in search of the next step in her career, when she came across the Hatt Health and Movement Clinic. She was impressed by the warm and welcoming team and quickly became excited to start her next chapter at Hatt’s within the Patient Services team.
Outside of work, Sadie loves to travel and explore the world and enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family. In her spare time, Sadie loves to stay active with activities like adventure parks, camping, and coastal walks, all whilst being behind the camera collecting memories and creating collages. Her heart belongs in the water so she is always up for a swim too!
Patient Services Co-ordinator
Moira joined the team in August 2015 after a career break to take on the full-time role of bringing up two daughters. She originally owned a Floristry business in Norwich before a move to Wiltshire with her husband. Moira then worked at a specialist picture frame restorer (which included helping to salvage some of Windsor Castle’s fire-damaged frames).
Moira joins our team bringing with her experience in customer services and accounting and administrative roles.
Moira dotes over all her pets (big and small) though regrettably has no room for the donkeys she would really like. But she supports the Donkey Sanctuary and adopts donkeys from a distance. Whether tending the beans on the allotment or scrambling along an airy ridge in Snowdonia, Moira is very much an outdoor person!

As a natural people person, Emily has always been drawn to customer facing roles and has found her home at Hatt’s after being pleased to find a warm welcome and a supportive team.
Emily is excited to develop her career further at Hatt’s and takes job satisfaction from helping others and seeing the difference she can make to their lives.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys exercising and spending time with her family and friends (who she also enjoys cooking for!).

Director
James set up the Hatt Clinic in 2003 and currently works as the full time Clinical Director. He was the first Physio in the company but now no longer runs a patient list, but is instead involved in the training and development of each and every service that the Hatt Clinic offers.
His drive to provide exceptional care and results for patients, and the vision of a comprehensive musculoskeletal medical service under one roof has led us to where we are today.
James lives in Bath with his wife and co-director Amanda. Their daughter Steph is all grown up and currently managing the marketing department at Hatt’s! When not working James loves to travel and is interested in most outdoor activities, as long as it’s sunny!
Director
Amanda comes from a commercial business background and has over 16 years of Management, business development and customer service experience.
She began her career in customer service at littlewoods in the north of England in the mid 90s and fulfilled many managerial roles over the years before working as a general manager for an international mail order company in 2003.
In 2008 Amanda finally gave in to James request for her to come and join him in the running of the clinics.
Amanda is responsible for the day to day running of the business, customer satisfaction and management of the team. Her main interests are in business development, staff management and team building.
Operations Manager
After eight years working for the Police, Steve was ready for a new challenge and a different career direction.
Having had the opportunity to get to know some of the existing team whilst previously being a patient at the Hatt Clinic, Steve was inspired by the culture, mission and friendly, enthusiastic team members at Hatt’s. He then joined the team himself as the Operations Manager in June 2022.
Steve is responsible for the smooth running of our three healthcare clinics alongside coaching, mentoring and motivating the team to deliver the best possible experience and service for the patient whilst ensuring all performance and quality standards are met.
Outside of work, Steve is a keen hiker so if the weather is nice, you will likely find him at the top of one of our various hills in Wiltshire, or taking on a hiking challenge on various mountains across the country.
Clinic Manager
Sue originally trained as a bilingual secretary before taking a career break to bring up her family. After several years living in the Middle East supporting her husband’s career she returned to the UK and settled in Frome and took a position with what used to be called Frome Physiotherapy.
As James and Amanda took over the Frome Clinic Sue’s role has continued to grow and as Clinic Manager she is now responsible for ensure all three clinics run smoothly.
She continues to live in Frome with her husband and a big black hairy labradoodle and when not at work spends a lot of time in London and the South East visiting her four grandchildren.
Assistant Operations Manager
Julia joined us in 2014, having previously worked as a nursery teacher in a private nursery for 16 years. Julia decided on a carer change after having her own children.
Julia supports the Patient Services team on a day to day basis and is always on hand to ensure we have appointment availability in our clinics.
Outside of work Julia spends her free time enjoying the company of friends and family and being mum to 3 children
