Pilates
At Hatt Pilates, we provide a holistic approach to help you move better, feel better, and look better so that natural confidence shines through. Our dedicated instructors will guide you through each session, either as part of a class, or on a 1:1 basis.
We offer Pilates classes at each of our clinics in Frome, Devizes and Marlborough. Each class is designed to cater to all levels, whether you are a beginner or have been practising Pilates for years.
Build a strong foundation from the inside out
Improve your quality of movement and prevent injuries
Keep pain at bay by taking care of your body
Improve your awareness of how your body moves
Feel a sense of calm and balance in your busy life
Our classes incorporate a variety of exercises to target specific muscle groups and challenge your body in new ways. Strengthen your core on the mat, then amplify the impact with the resistance and support of the reformer.
It’s an ideal way to improve your athletic performance, recover from an injury, or simply stay fit and healthy. Pilates can benefit people of all ages and fitness levels, looking for a low-impact workout. Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in working with clients with a range of abilities and conditions, so you can feel confident that you are in good hands.
All of our sessions are mat work and reformer combined, offering a perfect blend of exercises. Each session is designed to be fun and engaging while still providing you with a challenging workout. Plus, with a maximum of 5 people per class, you can expect a personalised service.

There are various types of Pilates classes. Mat Pilates is performed on the floor using just a mat, while equipment-based Pilates utilises specialised machines like the reformer. Our classes incorporate a blend of both to give you variety.
Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, from beginners to athletes. It can be tailored to meet your individual needs and goals, whether you are looking to improve your posture, recover from an injury, or simply get in shape.
Reformer Pilates uses a machine called a reformer to provide resistance and support during exercises, while mat Pilates uses your own body weight for resistance.
All our Pilates classes are 50 minutes long.
We offer Pilates classes on a fixed or flexible basis, each with different options (class membership only).
Fixed classes include:
Flexible classes include:
Yes! One of the benefits we are proud to offer is our live classes, available each week via Zoom. You’ll also have access to a diverse library of pre-recorded Pilates videos so you can do sessions from any location, anytime.
We recommend wearing comfortable, form-fitting workout attire that will not restrict your movements during the exercises. This could include leggings, shorts, or athletic bottoms paired with a breathable top.
Hydration is also important, so be sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during your session. You may also want to bring a towel to wipe away any sweat.
It is recommended to attend Pilates classes at least 2-3 times per week to see optimal results. Consistency is key in order to improve core strength, flexibility, and overall fitness levels. Combining in -person classes with the live Zoom or pre-recorded classes offers flexibility to fit into your lifestyle – it’s all about finding a balance that works for you and your lifestyle.
While Pilates may not be as intense or calorie-burning as more intensive forms of exercise, it can still be an effective method for weight loss.
Pilates focuses on strengthening and toning your muscles, improving your posture, and increasing your flexibility. By building lean muscle mass, you can boost your metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day, thus aiding your weight loss goals.
